Serology Testing
(GLOBAL Serology for Rats)

WE ARE NEGATIVE FOR THE HANTAAN/SEOUL VIRUS
I do serology testing at least once a year. I don't do it because I am having issues in my colony (my rats are doing great with no health issues) I do this to monitor my colony. This is the closest I can get to genetic testing, like they do in dogs. It's important to me to keep track of the health of my colony. I take a lot of time and effort and money to keep my colony happy and healthy.
A positive (+) means that antibodies were found, but it doesn't always mean they are sick and a health risk. A negative (-) means no antibodies were found, which is great.
A positive result is when a number from 1-33 thousands rounded off to the nearest thousand. Just because a + is found does not mean there are sick animals in a colony. All it means is antibodies were found. The results below are WONDERFUL.
